14. Favourite song in terms of lyrics: A TON of song lyrics are coming to mind, this is so tough! If I had to choose one right now, based on my mood, ‘Filling Empty Holes’ by Dax Riggs (this version is the best)

24. What song holds personal significance to me? ‘The Needle Has Landed’ by Neko Case, and not just because it mentions Spanaway by name and clearly takes place there. That does help, though.

26. I already answered this one, but I can always list more! A lot of songs make me wanna fall in love…’Coming Up Roses’ by Eliza Rickman, ‘Insomnia’ by IAMX, ‘I Hope I Don’t Fall In Love With You’ by Tom Waits…I don’t know what any of these say about me, honestly.

43. A Mini Playlist for a Midnight Adventure:

  1. ‘When the Lights Go Out’ – Oingo Boingo
  2. ‘Stop, I’m Already Dead’ – Deadboy and the Elephant Men
  3. ‘Dead Disco Dancer’ – O. Children
  4. ‘Six Foot Deep’ – Creature Feature

That’s a very mini playlist to an adventure where someone will clearly end up dead, because most of my midnight adventures have involved cemeteries and abandoned buildings. I’m pretty much setting myself up for foolish horror movie scenarios.

23. Song with the best vocals…holy shit this is tough. For me, it would have to be an Oingo Boingo song, though I have a really hard time choosing one specifically. Maybe ‘Spider’ or certain versions of ‘Lost Like This’ because Danny’s voice is just A+.

1. Best song to wake up to: ‘Chop Suey!’ by System of a Down, if only because it literally starts with Serj shouting ‘WAKE UP’ and yeah, sure does wake you up.

2. Best song to fall asleep to: any song from Shusha Guppy’s album Persian Love Songs and Mystic Chants because that woman had the voice of an angel. Like, you don’t need to speak Farsi to love her songs.

5. It’s raining outside, what do you start playing? ‘Kingdom of Rain’ by Mark Lanegan. Or like, pretty much anything by Mark Lanegan because I swear he includes rain in like 80% of his songs. It’s almost like he’s from the PNW or something.

20. Song with the best bass riff: ohh, this is difficult. I’m sure there’s a ton I could name, but I’m really partial to the one in ‘Psycho Killer’ by Talking Heads.

26. What songs make you want to fall in love? ‘Ich tu dir weh’ by Rammstein. Also, Dax Rigg’s cover of ‘Skulls’ by Misfits. It HAS to be Dax Rigg’s cover.

31. Which songs make you want to cry? All of them. All songs ever written. Actually two songs I can think of that I am absolutely guaranteed to cry at are: ‘Bright Eyes’ by Art Garfunkel and ‘Thrice All American’ by Neko Case (shut up, it’s about Tacoma!)
